Jenee Northcutt

Jenee joined the Academy in August 2015. She earned her BA in Political Science with a minor in Global Studies from the University of Tennessee and her MPA from San Diego State University. Jenee previously worked in non profit healthcare administration. Her experiences include project management, process improvement initiatives, clinical operations and training coordination in the nonprofit sector. She enjoys working with underserved populations. Jenee also teaches public administration classes part time. As the Curriculum Coordinator for PCWTA, Jenee’s role includes trainer onboarding and curriculum development. When she isn’t working, she loves to travel, hike, bake, and spend time with her son and dog.

When did you join the Academy, and what was your position when you first joined? 

I joined the Academy in 2015 as the CWDS Curriculum Coordinator. I coordinate the curriculum for the seven counties CWDS serves, collaborate in devloping and onboarding our trainer pool, manage our Continuing Education credits process, am Editor of the CWDS Quarterly newsletter, and I am the project lead on Sexual and Reproductive Wellness for Youth in Foster Care.

How has working at the Academy revolutionized your career and/or your life? 

Working at the Academy has allowed me to grow not only in my professional role, but in my professional skills and as a person. No matter your role, you have the opportunity to take on exciting projects and stretch yourself.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I am so grateful to work at the Academy because our Leadership genuinely tries to lead with our Core Values and cares about everyone on our team. The Academy has a gift for hiring the most talented, smartest, and empathetic people I have ever worked with. My colleagues are truly devoted to Child Welfare and Social Work.
