In-Home Supportive Services: Descriptive Data Report (May 2013)

Purpose:

This report includes: IHSS Program recipient demographics; exit reasons of recipients; distribution of authorized service hours for IHSS recipients (Domestic versus Personal Care Services Hours); distribution of IHSS provider types for IHSS recipients; IHSS fraud referrals/cases; average monthly IHSS cases by SACHS County; average monthly Functional Index Scores; average monthly Authorized and Paid Hours per case; Percent Hours Paid/Authorized per IHSS case and average monthly Cost per IHSS Case. Trends are also highlighted.

Purpose:

Purpose: Report includes: IHSS Program recipient demographics (Feb. 2012); exit reasons of recipients; distribution of authorized service hours for recipients; distribution of IHSS provider types for recipients; average monthly IHSS Caseload per Social Service Worker (for continuing cases); IHSS fraud referrals; monthly IHSS cases by SACHS County; average monthly Functional Index Score; average Monthly Authorized and Paid Hours per case; Percent Hours Paid/Authorized per IHSS Case and average Monthly Cost per IHSS Case. Data for this report was gathered via survey of SACHS counties in April 2011 as well as calculating annual averages (for each SACHS County) using the CDSS statewide IHSS monthly statistics summaries for Calendar Year 2010 and 2011.

Data for this report was gathered via survey of SACHS counties in April 2011 as well as calculating annual averages (for each SACHS County) using the CDSS statewide IHSS monthly statistics summaries for Calendar Year 2009 and 2010.

CalWORKs and Food Stamps Programs: A Comparison of SACHS Counties Applications and Cases (2007-2010)

Purpose:

This report addresses research questions from the SACHS directors regarding changes in applicants and recipients in the CalWORKs and Food Stamps programs which may be effects of the current recession. Data were collected for the months of January 2007 and January 2010. Variables include, for both programs: applications, denials, active case sizes, ages, and, for CalWORKs, reasons for denial based on excessive resources and/or income. In most cases, data are provided for individual SACHS counties and totals from all these counties.

Examines how IHSS data across SACHS Counties for FY 2008/09 compares to the previous FY 2007/08. Report includes: IHSS 2010 recipient demographics; exit reasons of recipients; caseload size; cost per case; hours per case; fraud referrals, and average Functional Index Score. Data for this report was gathered via survey of SACHS counties in April 2010 as well as calculating annual averages (for each SACHS County) using the statewide IHSS monthly statistics summaries for CY 2009

Data for this report was gathered via survey of SACHS counties in April 2009 as well as calculating annual averages (for each SACHS County) using the statewide IHSS monthly statistics summaries for CY 2008.
