In 2022, Dean Rockwell received a doctorate in Educational Leadership from UC San Diego. Before that, he completed a Master’s degree at Boston College in Organization Studies in Higher Education Administration. While pursuing these degrees, Dean conducted research on student success in contexts such as the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education, The Alliance to Accelerate Excellence in Education at Cal State San Marcos, and the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering. He also worked in student-facing roles in community colleges in Boston and San Diego. His research has been published in academic journals such as the Journal of American College Health, Studies in Engineering Education, and Organization Studies.
In 2024, Dean joined the Academy as an Evaluation Development Analyst on the Evaluation Services team. He provides evaluation planning, survey development, data analysis, and reporting services.
