CANS, Fall 2021

CANS/CFT

The Implementation Team Workgroup is planning a statewide convening and currently working on convening topics. There is discussion around building on the work we did with “As Is Mapping” and focusing this convening a follow up to that work.  The workgroup is completing the final edits on the CFT/CANS Brochures. Our county partners continue to train existing and new staff on CANS. Many counties have added CANS Mod B (2-day) at the completion of  Common Core, ensuring all new workers have the training and are prepared to use the tool in the field. Counties continue to ask for additional support with integrating CANS within the CFTM. The current CFT Facilitator Training touches on this, however the State is looking into the creation of integrating CANS within a CFTM training. There has been discussion, but it is not concrete at this point
