Supervisor Training
APSWI in collaboration with county, state, and national partners in developing training specifically for APS Supervisors. Please find current offerings below, in a variety of training modalities that are flexible and easily adaptable, for states/jurisdictions outside of California. Plan to check back often as we continue to post new resources.
APS Supervisor Core
APS Supervisor Core Competency training modules are based on research, national needs assessment data, stakeholder feedback, and evolving APS practice. Training is offered in a variety of curriculum lengths and modalities to accommodate supervisor’s competing demands. The training is intended for supervisors both new and experienced.
APS Supervisor Advanced Training
Supervisor advanced training is developed to enrich and build upon core knowledge and skills and/or introduce new or advanced topics. Training is offered in a variety of curriculum lengths and modalities to accommodate the supervisor’s competing demands.
APS Supervisor Support Chat
Supervisor support chats are a place where APS Supervisors can come together to connect and support each other to discuss challenges, successes, and best practices they may be experiencing as supervisors. Each session will allow for discussions for mutual support, shared learning, and processing.
Note: At this time, support chats are offered to APS Supervisors from Southern CA counties.
