Revolutionizing the way people work to ensure the world is a healthier place.

#WhyWednesday Series: Rosemarie Campos Sachs

At the Academy, we partner with trainers who share our vision to revolutionize the way people work to ensure the world is a healthier place. Rosemarie Campos Sachs is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has facilitated several trainings (in-person and remotely) for our Responsive Integrated Health Solutions (RIHS) program. Today we speak with Rosemarie to learn a little more about her and her “Why.”

1. How have the living experiences provided by the Academy for Professional Excellence helped to transform your heart, mind, and practice?

The learning experiences have supported my goals to evolve and live to my fullest potential at any particular moment. The people that I have interacted with at the Academy have touched my heart with their compassion, respect, and dedication to providing a higher standard of service.

2. How has the Academy brought value to you and the work that you do?

The Academy has brought the value of community and connection to the importance of helping others through learning and role modeling how to evolve in response to changing needs. In addition, the Academy has offered me an opportunity to touch through teaching or training so many hard-working individuals doing their absolute best to make a difference in the lives of others and this has brought me closer to supporting my favorite mantra by Mahatma Gandhi of “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

3. The Academy’s Why is to “Revolutionize the way people work to ensure the world is a healthier place.” What is your Why? What are the values/experiences that moved you to the Health & Human Services field?

My vision for all my work is to heal humanity one conversation at a time. As a first generation college graduate in my family, I found it important to use my higher education privilege to support others in any way I could to find their voice and path towards opportunities that may not be obviously available. In other words, supporting equity moved me to health and human services.
