The Leaders in Action Program accepted 31 promising leaders for this year’s 20th cohort of participants. LIA 20 will run from January through May of 2026. The program includes 15 intensive sessions, most of which are presented by current and former executives of our eight participating counties.

The series culminates in a full simulation of a Board of Supervisors Meeting. Each participating county team will have the realistic experience of presenting to a mock Board of Supervisors in the Riverside Chambers. These leaders will then join the 500+ LIA alumni.

A celebration of twenty years of LIA is planned in conjunction with the autumn County Welfare Directors Association of California (CWDA) meeting. It’s an exciting milestone for a program that has shaped leadership across our participating counties for two decades.
