Trainer Biography
Jeffrey Munn, LMFT
Jeffrey received his MA in Clinical Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute in Chatsworth, CA with an emphasis in co-occurring disorders. He is a certified Anderson & Anderson Anger Management facilitator and is trained in EMDR therapy. He has worked as a therapist for several probation camps, Phoenix House, and a probation group home.
Jeffrey has been working with adults and adolescents struggling with substance abuse/dependence for over six years. He is currently the drug treatment therapist for Rancho San Antonio Boys Home, a suitable placement for probation youth. During this time, he has developed drug education curriculum, created a peer-based life recovery group, and provided numerous trainings to staff on substance abuse treatment, adolescent development, and motivational interviewing. Jeffrey also provides regular training and supervision to nearly a dozen CCAPP Registered Drug and Alcohol Trainees.
Jeffrey’s personal experience in substance abuse recovery gives him a unique perspective when working with addicts and providing trainings on the topic of substance abuse recovery. He has over a decade of experience with the 12-step approach to recovery and is passionate about integrating this approach with traditional psychotherapy.
