CANS and CFT/CANS update

The work groups continue to prepare for a statewide CANS convening, tentative time frame of December 2022. There will be regional work groups to help facilitate a discussion for Southern county partners. Child Welfare, Behavioral Health, Tribal partners and Probation will be invited to the convening.

The work groups continue their work on the CFT/CANS brochures and videos. We are working on updating both in several languages as well. All final/approved brochures and videos can be found on the CDSS website in the video library

CDSS is engaging Praed and the RTAs and Child Welfare Directors regarding CANS curriculum revisions. CANS trainers are encouraged to contact Mechelle Robinson at mrobinson2@sdsu.edu with any comments and/or suggestions for curriculum upgrades/edits.

Also, there is a CANS T4T October, 4, 6, 10, and 12 at 9am-4pm. Contact Mechelle Robinson if interested.
