Hello All,
Below you will find the monthly CACWT & Curriculum updates for June 2023. We are utilizing a couple different methods of communication and are hopeful that through these different avenues the training system partners have the most up to date information. Please feel free to forward to anyone on your respective teams. We appreciate all of the ongoing thought partnering and support.
Continuing Training
- CFSR, 4 day and CFSR QA 2 day, Received updated PowerPoints for both of these courses and have uploaded into CACWT. Please check your sections and update with the most recent version.
- Father Engagement Skills Lab, now available in CACWT! This newly created 1 day, Instructor-Led course includes a pre/post evaluation and satisfaction survey.
- This will also be the first course in CACWT to use the new Section Registration management feature colloquially known as “One Course Rule to Them All”. Affiliation managers can add their sections to the course titled “Father Engagement Skills Lab – California” (Course ID 1734).
- A self-paced T4T Overview eLearning is also available for self-enrollment. All trainers must complete the T4T overview before training the instructor-led course.
- RFA Academy, 4 day Instructor – Led Course, has been updated to reflect Version 8 of the Written Directives and enhanced Race, Equity, and Inclusion (REI) concepts in collaboration with the Bay Area Academy. All of the handouts have been removed from the course template and are now fully integrated within the Trainee/Trainer Guides. There is now a dedicated Trainer Guide, Trainee Guide, PowerPoint, Virtual Guide, and Version Change Document (VCD) for each individual day of the course. It is highly recommended that Trainer’s review the VCD before their next training.

-
- Completions from past field activities will be added to the new statewide field activities learning path.
- More details will be provided in the coming weeks along with implementation instructions in the CACWT Manual.
Evaluation Guide
A new iteration of the Evaluation Guide and the Version Change Document (VCD) have been uploaded (version June 2023). As usual, the Evaluation Guide is included in the course materials for all courses for Trainers to easily access during the day of training and before.
Accessibility
- The CACWT Quarterly Accessibility Report was updated in June to reflect current accessibility in CACWT.
REMINDERS:
- Use the Blackboard Ally tool (in the “Administrator Tools” panel) to ensure your CACWT course content is accessible. Courses should meet a minimum of 85% accessibility with a benchmark goal of 92%+ in Blackboard Ally
- The Culturally Responsive Practice Behaviors Assessment & Development Tool eLearning 90 minute module, geared for Trainers and Facilitators is now available!
Course Description:
In an effort to enhance the development of culturally responsive skills and practice, especially in the context of workforce development, partners from California Regional Training Academies and CDSS (the California Department of Social Services) created the Culturally Responsive Practice Behaviors Assessment and Development Tool (also known as the CRPB Tool). This course provides an overview of the CRPB Tool and provides guidance for using it to enhance the development of culturally responsive practice behaviors and skills that anyone providing workforce development opportunities can demonstrate.
