Nicole Heesen

Nicole Heesen joined the Academy in 2016, bringing over a decade of executive non-profit experience. Her experience has created an impact, drawing on her background in working with diverse communities such as those experiencing intimate partner violence and those living with mental health issues.
With an extensive background in executive non-profit management, program development, and training facilitation, Nicole has led initiatives catering to children, families, and vulnerable positions, fostering collaborations with the Child Welfare system and crafting tailored curricula for the health and human service industry.
Nicole brings expertise in staff management, administrative system development, and strategic leadership. Notably, she played a pivotal role in advancing initiatives like the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) and Safety Organized Practice (SOP). Additionally, Nicole is certified as a Gallup CliftonStrengths Coach, further enhancing her ability to lead with inquiry and inspire others.
