Kathy is passionate about designing innovative, human-centered, compassionate, and inclusive trauma-informed learning experiences that enhance skill development and knowledge retention. She holds an MS in Educational & Instructional Technology (Instructional Design). Before joining the Academy for Professional Excellence, Kathy was the lead eLearning and multimedia producer at the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency. She has a strong background in instructional design, project management, and early career experience as a social worker. Additionally, Kathy has 16 years of experience as a humanitarian filmmaker, creating impactful work locally and globally.
