Alexa holds a BA in Sociology from UC Berkeley and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at SDSU with a concentration in administration and community development. She has experience supporting nonprofit programs and community-based initiatives focused on youth and families. For her first-year internship, Alexa supported a fellowship program for high school students focused on civic engagement and leadership development. She also previously coordinated statewide trainings for professionals working in child abuse prevention and intervention, worked with asylum-seeking women, and volunteered as a NAMI crisis line operator.
