Shannon Jackson, LPCC
Shannon Jackson received her BA in Psychology, with a minor in Women’s Studies, from San Diego State University in 2000. She went on to receive her MA in Counseling from the University of San Diego in 2002. Since then, she has worked for several agencies that specialize in assisting families that are struggling with issues such as substance abuse, trauma, mental health concerns, behavioral issues, and crisis situations. She worked in New Jersey providing case management services to families with children that were experiencing extreme emotional and behavioral problems. Following that, she worked in Maryland providing intensive in home services to families with children at risk of out-of-home placement. Upon returning to California, she has been working since 2008 with families that struggle with substance abuse issues. Many of these families are also involved with Child Welfare Services. Ms. Jackson has been actively involved with the San Diego CADRE since 2009, working to help break down the barriers for clients seeking both mental health and substance abuse services. Ms. Jackson became a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in 2013.
