Trainer Biography

Ilana Israel Samuels, MA

Ilana Israel Samuels holds a Master degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, from Chapman University. She has worked in the field of education for her entire career, in early childhood development, teacher education, college admissions and outreach. At Fortune School of Education, she facilitated workshops and taught courses for K-12 teaching credential candidates. During her seven years at California State University, East Bay, as the Associate Director of Student Outreach, she managed all K-12 student, family and counselor support and communications, and also taught as an adjunct faculty member for the Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism Department. Currently, she is the West Region Director for Sandy Hook Promise, working to implement and sustain Know the Signs programming. Since 2017, she has served on the Mt. Diablo Unified Career Technical Education Leadership committee and as an Education Liaison for the Anti-Defamation League’s No Place for Hate Initiative.
