Trainer Biography
Sarah Kneeland, BSW
Sarah Kneeland has worked for Child Welfare Services in the County of San Diego since 2009. She played an active role in the development, training, coaching, and implementation of Safety-Organized Practice in San Diego. She worked as a Protective Services Worker in Continuing Services, Emergency Response, and Court Intervention programs in different regional offices prior to promoting to Senior Protective Services Worker in the SOP Coaching unit in May 2015. In June 2016, she promoted to CWS Policy Analyst in Special Projects and oversees SOP, Structured Decision Making, Training, and Trauma-Informed Practice, in addition to other projects and assignments.
Ms. Kneeland received her BASW from San Diego State University in 2008, and is a current Title IV-E MSW Candidate attending SDSU.
Ms. Kneeland began training for the Academy in 2014, and especially enjoys sharing her passion and experience about Safety Organized Practice and Structured Decision Making. She has trained in San Diego, San Bernardino, Ventura, and Riverside counties. She also has trained in the state of Wyoming on their adaption of SOP, the Wyoming Practice Model, for CWS, Probation, and APS workers and supervisors.
