Mary Beth Hadaway, Senior Protective Services Worker

Mary Beth Hadaway has worked for Child Welfare Services (CWS) in San Diego County for 19 years. She has a Bachelors of Science in Child and Family Development. She started her career working directly with families both during their initial contact with CWS as well as helping families to navigate the court process and ongoing case management. As a senior worker, she transitioned to coaching new and experienced workers in using Safety Organized Practice tools and in their career development. Currently, she has found a passion for developing curriculum for, and training new workers in CWS’s Social Worker Initial Training program. Ms. Hadaway puts tremendous value on the ability to engage families, focusing on their story/needs/culture, and to be seen as a helper. Ms. Hadaway’s strengths are Individualization, Harmony, Input, Responsibility, and Learner. In her spare time, she is an avid reader and especially enjoys the fantasy genre.
