Trainer Biography

Mark Kisselburg, MS

Mark’s first exposure to child welfare began when he and his wife became foster parents to teenage boys in the early 1980’s, in Alaska, prior to moving to California.  He received his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University.  For several years Mark worked with children and families in private practice.

Mark began his social work career in 1997 with Riverside County as a Continuing Services Social Worker, moving on to Adoption and Independent Life Skills programs. For five years, Mark supervised the Children’s Services Division Quality Assurance program.

Since that time, Mark has been a Staff Development Officer, providing a variety of learning opportunities to Children’s Services Staff, as well as various other county employees. Most recently he provided county wide training on Personal Safety.   In addition to his work for Riverside County, Mark has trained social service staff across the state for the Central and Southern Training Academies.
