Heidi Blue, MSW

Heidi Blue, MSW, is currently a Protective Services Program Manager at the Polinsky Children’s Center in San Diego, CA. As a PSPM at “PCC”, Heidi oversees cottage operations for 7 cottages at the nationally known Emergency Shelter for children who need temporary care that are known to CWS and Law Enforcement. Heidi has been a PSPM for San Diego County CWS for the past 6 years. Her assignments have included Adoptions, Regional Operations in Central Region and most recently, PCC. Heidi has worked for CWS in San Diego for over 25 years with her passion being in Adoption, Foster Care and Permanency. She began as an intern in Adoptions in 1988 and was hired shortly after as an Adoption Children’s Worker. Her journey has included assignments as an Adoption Children’s Worker, Applicant Worker, and Independent Adoption Worker. As a Supervisor, Heidi supervised the Nuestros Ninos Adoption Program in San Diego and Placement units in multiple regions. Heidi has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Diego State University.
