Trainer Biography

Diana Shreckengost

Diana Shreckengost, a Child Welfare Services manager for the County of San Diego, has worked for the county for 20 years. She has child welfare experience in investigations, court intervention, adoptions, foster home licensing, placement, Team Decision Making (TDM) facilitation, Child and Family Teams meetings policy creation, training, and large system implementations. She has also worked as a Policy Analyst where she analyzed proposed legislation and implemented new policies and programs in the following areas: adoptions, fatherhood, training and development, and special projects including San Diego’s first practice framework design and implementation, Safety Enhanced Together (SET). She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Social Work, a Certificate in Social Work Administration, and a license in Clinical Social Work. Her top five Gallup strengths include: achiever, responsibility, input, learner, and individualization. She began training resource parents early on in her career and found the collaborative energy in the classroom fueled her work in the field. When she is not training in the classroom, you will find her training for her next running race or cheering on her two sons at their sporting events.
