Supervisor Learning Circle Summit

Level: Advanced Practice – Supervisors

Credits: 3 Hours

Intended Audience: This 3 hour training is designed for Supervisors. It will be delivered twice in one day in an AM and PM session in order for all supervisors to be able to attend.

Description of Course: The training will utilize discussion and activities to provide an overview of Supervisor Learning Circles. Throughout the last year, Learning Circles have provided a forum for supervisors to learn from one another, engage in dialogue with colleagues from different offices, disseminate innovative practices throughout the County and support implementation and improve transfer of learning regarding Safety Organized Practice. There will be a panel of supervisors sharing about their experience with Learning Circles and an opportunity for supervisors to sign up for a Learning Circle for next year.

Intended Objectives:

  • Review and describe how supervisors can support a learning culture
  • Describe the purpose and objectives of learning circles to support supervisors
  • Share strategies for supervising staff who are learning and implementing Safety Organized Practice
  • Provide a time for supervisors to sign up for a learning circle for next year

  • Meeting facilitation
  • Purpose and objectives of learning circles to support supervisor learning
  • Implementation and sustainability of learning circles
