Facilitation Skills 101 – Teaming Strategies
Credits: 3
Intended Audience: This is for any child welfare line workers, supervisors and behavioral health practitioners who will be facilitating family team meetings.
Description of Course: This course is intended to provide a review of the structure of the family team meeting and roles and objectives of the facilitator. The learners will have opportunity to view a Family Team Meeting through Video and then will have time to develop facilitation skills through practice.
Intended Objectives:
- Will be able to list at least 5 components of a Family Team Meeting
- Will be able to list at least 2 characteristics of a good Facilitator
- Can describe the purpose of a Facilitator
- Will be able to demonstrate through practice in the classroom skills to Facilitate a
- Family Team Meeting

- Overview of the Basic Structure of the Family Team Meeting
- Roles of the Facilitator
- Characteristics of a Good Facilitator
- Time for Practice for Skill Development
