Betsy still works for Ventura CFS and is a child welfare supervisor in Emergency Response. She is very passionate about her work with the families and the communities she serves.
Betsy has been a backup facilitator for CFTM’s for several years. She believes this practice has transformed our work with families as we are all now coming together to come up with solutions. She has also been part of the Peer Support program since 2018 and believes staff need to be supported, well- being nurtured and for them to be heard, to effectively do their work.
Betsy has been a child welfare trainer since 2019 and enjoys working with staff and having courageous conversations. She has been inspired in her own work by having the opportunity to be a trainer, while still working in the field of child welfare.
Betsy loves the outdoors and owned/trained and showed Arabians for over 20 years when she lived in Minnesota. Since living in California, she has taken up road cycling, hiking in the beautiful trails around the state of California and competing in triathlons.
