Sabrina Blizzard
Sabrina Blizzard attended CSULB where she received her B.A. in Human Development. She began her career in child welfare working for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, working as a Children’s Social Worker for three years. After her experience with LA DCFS, Sabrina took on her next position in child welfare at the Orange County Social Services Agency where she worked as a dependency investigator for the next twelve years. After over fifteen years in child welfare, Sabrina transferred to Adult Protective Services where she was able to gain experience in a different area of social work. This led to her final transfer to Administrative Services where she has worked for the last eight years as a supervisor with the Quality Support Team, ensuring quality services are provided to the vulnerable population served by Social Services. In this role, Sabrina Blizzard has completed in-depth assessments of child welfare practice in the context of Claim Reviews, Fatality Reviews, and Child and Family Service Reviews on behalf of the state and has developed a passion in transferring the knowledge gained from those assessments to others.
Sabrina has always valued the opportunity to help others and has done so directly with families, in mentoring others, and more recently from sharing lessons learned with the goal to enhance the learning and development of the next generation of social workers.
In her free time, she treasures time with friends and family. She likes to play racquetball and has recently found a new love in pickleball.
