Summer Brandenstein

Summer Brandenstein serves Child Welfare Development Services (CWDS) as the County Consultant for Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Summer earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Public Affairs, with a focus in public management and program evaluation, both from Indiana University.
Summer’s career began with the Indiana Department of Child Services, where she worked as an investigator of child sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation (CSE). Summer also has experience working for a non-profit organization that provided services to survivors of sexual abuse and CSE. Summer is trained in Child First and has conducted over 500 non-leading and developmentally appropriate interviews of children, investigations, multidisciplinary team collaboration, service, and safety planning for survivors of sexual abuse, and program evaluation.
