Trainer Biography
Sally Richter, MSW
Ms. Richter received her MSW from San Diego State University in 1982. She became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 1988 and a Qualified Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Social Work Diplomate in 1994.
Ms. Richter is the Supervising Field Instructor for the San Bernardino County Department of Children’s Services and is an Adjunct Professor of Social Work at California State University, San Bernardino and Loma Linda University. She has over 30 years experience in social work. Ms. Richter has authored instructional curriculums on a wide range of CWS topics, has authored Department Handbooks and conducted research on effective methods of Field Instruction. She has participated in the development of county and state conferences and workshops in Child Welfare Services and has provided orientation and in-service training for county staff.
She has recently begun providing equine assisted counseling for children and adults with behavior problems, anger management issues, depression, and PTSD.
