Sarah Glass, MSW

Sarah Glass graduated from San Diego State University in 2007 with a Bachelors degree in Child and Family Development and in 2013 with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She is currently a supervisor with San Diego County Child Welfare Services.

Sarah’s child welfare experience includes investigations, court intervention, family maintenance, reunification, continuous quality improvement, and community child maltreatment prevention projects. Sarah spent three years in the Drug Endangered Children program where she worked collaboratively to build relationships between San Diego County Child Welfare Services and local law enforcement jurisdictions.

Sarah has also worked as a Child Welfare Services Policy Analyst. Her policy assignments included Extended Foster Care, Residential Services, Continuum of Care Reform (CCR), Independent Living Skills (ILS), Transgender Youth, CSEC, and Crossover Youth. In her role as a Policy Analyst, Sarah has supported the implementation of San Diego County’s local program for youth that are Commercially Sexually Exploited. She also held a role in the implementation of a crossover youth protocol between San Diego County Probation, Child Welfare Services, and Juvenile Court for youth who are involved in both delinquency and dependency systems. Sarah received a service award from the Juvenile Justice Commission for her work on the protocol.

In her current role as supervisor of the CQI Unit, Sarah has oversight of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) case reviews that are completed by the CQI Unit, as well as special projects and program evaluations.
