Trainer Biography
Jennifer Whitton, MSW
Jennifer Whitton received a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies, and her Masters of Social Work both from San Diego State University. She has been working in the field of Child Welfare since 2006, and it currently a Protective Services Supervisor with the County of San Diego. Ms. Whitton has experience in emergency response, court intervention, voluntary services, family maintenance, family reunification, intensive family preservation, continuous quality improvement, and coaching. She also serves as a field instructor for MSW students and San Diego State University and California State University San Marcos.
Ms. Whitton has a passion for training and supporting Child Welfare workers. Her areas of expertise include coaching, safety organized practice, family engagement, case planning, structured decision making, and continuous quality improvement.
Outside of her work in Child Welfare, Ms. Whitton enjoys spending time with her daughter, and getting outdoors! Watersports such as kayaking and paddle boarding are a favorite.
