Trainer Biography
Betsy Watson, MSW
Betsy Watson is currently a supervisor in Ventura County and supervises the Hotline/Emergency Response program during after hours. She has been a supervisor for almost 7 years in Emergency Response. She was a social worker in Emergency Response dayshift and after hours for 8 years and did a year of Ongoing. Prior to moving to California, in 2005, she lived in Minnesota where she grew up. She worked for Hennepin County in Minneapolis for 4 years and worked as an ongoing worker. Prior to her work in Child Welfare, she worked as a medical social worker for 4 years. She decided she wanted to become a trainer to not only challenge herself by doing something new and different but to do something with all of her years of Child Welfare experience. She has a Masters Degree in Social Work.
She has been a triathlete since 2009 and loves the challenge! Prior to triathlon she trained and showed Arabian horse for 20 years when she lived in Minnesota.
