Trainer Biography
Jacqueline Penhos, M.A, Certified Mindfulness Coach
Jacqueline (Jackee) Penhos, was born and raised in Panama, and immigrated to San Diego with her parents in 1992. After experiencing how it felt to learn a new language and culture without any help from school, she made a promise to herself to help as many ESL students as she could. Ms. Penhos stated her journey in Education by teaching at-risk high school students in 2001, her journey continued as a Career Counselor for the US Navy, on to teaching community college and being a Curriculum Developer and Trainer.
She completed her BS in Organizational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University then earned MA in Human Behavior Positive Psychology from National University. She is also a Certified Diversity Trainer and Mindfulness Coach. She is currently a Wellness Counselor, Assistant Psychology Professor and Mental Health Advocate and Speaker.
Jacqueline’s love for people and students in need led her to create a non-profit organization, Hugs & Bags, A Love Movement that restores dignity by providing basic needs. She loves to travel with a PURPOSE, Dance, Read, Laugh, and try international cuisines and desserts.
She is grateful to be a part of such a dynamic and conscious team that believes in the powerful African proverb, “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child.”
