Trainer Biography
Dawn Vetro, MSW
Ms. Dawn Vetro graduated from California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Bachelors Degree in Human Development with a Child Development emphasis. In 2012, she graduated from CSUSB with a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) with a Child Welfare emphasis. Currently she is working on obtaining her LCSW.
Ms. Vetro has gained experience with group home at risk youth, families in crisis and the effects of trauma on children. As well as, leading community program design and staff development. She has been doing community and non-profit social work locally and overseas with families and children for over 10 years.
In 2012, she joined Children and Family Services in San Bernardino County. She has knowledge in emergency response investigations, jurisdictional/dispositional reports, as well as family reunification, family maintenance and permanency placement services. More recently Ms. Vetro began field instructing MSW interns placed in San Bernardino County. During which, Ms. Vetro began her eagerness to train Safety Organized Practice (SOP). She has completed the Training for Trainers series with PCWTA and became a certified trainer. In 2016, she was promoted to Supervising Social Service Practitioner overseeing the intern unit. Ms. Vetro works closely with CSUSB, Loma Linda University, San Bernardino County, BASW and MSW interns ensuring that the best learning and training opportunities take place.
