CWDS Training Recruitments

 

The CWDS Program is currently recruiting for Trainers/Facilitators for the following Courses. If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in being added to the CWDS Active Trainer list for either of the courses listed below please contact Jenee Northcutt at jnorthcutt@sdsu.edu or the staff noted. 

 

Introduction to Child Development (Core 3.5):  To facilitate this course you must have knowledge of Child and Youth Development and/or have previously trained the Child and Youth Development in a Child Welfare Context course (Core 2.0). 

 

Child and Family Team Training (CFT): If you are interested in this opportunity please review the  CFT Facilitation Training: Trainer Qualifications list to determine of meet the qualifications.  Please contact Erika Tucker at edtucker@sdsu.edu if you have any questions or need additional information. 

 

There are currently two statewide standardized Concurrent Planning courses that will be delivered in the 2021/2022 Fiscal year. They include: 

 

  • Concurrent Planning: Conversations and Documentation – This is a new course developed by the state and the content will be made available next fiscal year (after July 2021). Information about requirements for training this course are TBD.
  • Concurrent Planning: Principles of Concurrent Planning – Per statewide requirements, to be eligible to facilitate this Concurrent Planning training you must complete the online T4T from the CalSWEC website.  The Train-the-Trainer (T4T): Principles of Concurrent Planning content be found here: The full Curriculum can be found here for your review: Principles of Concurrent Planning Curriculum
  • Per state requirements, the Concurrent Planning courses will be delivered through the newly implemented statewide SIS/LMS system known as CACWT.
  • These courses may be utilized for CWS staff to complete the required 6 hours of service and delivery training.

 

Common Core: CWDS is always in need of trainers for Core deliveries (Currently Core 3.5) and interested parties must meet statewide qualifications to train these courses. The revised curriculum for the Core 3.5 will be available via the CACWT system on July 1, 2021.
