Kellie Scott, MSW
San Diego and Imperial Geriatric Education Center Program Coordinator
Kellie Scott, MSW is the Program Coordinator for the San Diego Imperial Geriatric Education Center (SDIGEC), a project using cross-disciplinary collaboration to build an integrated geriatric system of care with a current focus on Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Kellie joined the Academy in 2010 as a Training Coordinator with BHETA working on workforce development training in the fields of geriatric mental health and cultural competency.
Prior to joining the Academy, she interned at Aging and Independence Services as an Intergenerational Coordinator and in a skilled nursing facility as a Social Service Worker. Kellie graduated in 2010 with a Master of Social Work Degree with a certificate in Social Work Administration from SDSU. She also has her Undergraduate degree in Social Work from SDSU with a minor in Gerontology. She is currently the Co-coordinator for the Network for Social Work Management’s Mentoring Program and is an officer for the SDSU Social Work Alumni.
