Trainer Biography

Ian Schere, PHD

Ian Schere, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice who specializes in working with children, adolescents & families. He is the clinical supervisor for Casa de Amparo residential treatment center and the Haywood Childrens Development Center. With an emphasis on evidence based practices, Dr. Schere has clinical specializations in parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) and Motivational Interviewing, and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). In addition, Dr. Schere is an adjunct faculty professor in Alliant International University’s clinical Ph.D. program, and has facilitated preceptorships for first year medical students at the UCSD School of Medicine.
