Trainer Biography

Danielle Barcello, LCSW

My name is Danielle Barcello, and I am a licensed clinical social worker, currently working as a liaison for Pathways to Wellbeing at Behavioral Health Services for the County of San Diego’s Health and Human Services Agency.

I have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and a Master of Social Work degree at San Diego State University.  I hold a credential in Pupil Personnel Services, allowing me to practice social work in schools throughout San Diego County.  I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dual Diagnosis, and Seeking Safety.

Prior to becoming active in the field of social work, I was provided the amazing opportunity to teach infants, toddlers and preschool aged children for approximately 8 years.  I have found this experience to be invaluable in all of my experiences as a social worker, and in raising my two children.  Other past experiences include working at an adult day healthcare center with adults diagnosed with dementia, mental illness, and or brain injuries; performing assessments and providing individual and group therapy to adults and transitional age youth whom experience chronic and severe mental illness and substance abuse challenges; and providing individual and family therapy to children and their families.
