Trainer Biography

Armin Geiger, LMFT, LPCC

Mr. Armin Geiger is a California licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. He holds two Master Degrees, an MA in Clinical Counseling and an MS in Electronic Commerce, is a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Specialist, and trained in the Gottman Method for couples.

Armin is currently the Director and Owner of ACT Marriage and Family Counseling Inc., a private psychotherapy practice in San Diego specializing in helping traumatized individuals and distressed couples. Prior to this, he was the Clinical Supervisor for the Fred Finch Youth Center’s behavioral and mental health program at Polinsky Children’s Center, a 24-hour children’s emergency shelter. His previous professional experiences include working with schools and community agencies, alcohol & drug treatment facilities, and residential treatment centers. He has worked with adults and children, civilian and military individuals, couples, and families. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Armin’s business career path included positions with a variety of startup companies, executive positions in marketing, private education, and nonprofit consulting.

Born and raised in the German part of Switzerland, Armin lived in the U.K. for a while before moving to San Diego in 1992. The challenges and changes he faced have given him unique perspectives, insights, and experiences. Some of them include managing change, facing adverse situations, jump-starting and maintaining motivation, achieving emotional well-being, facing life transitions, and navigating layered cultural issues.
