Arianne Miller, Ph.D.
Dr. Arianne Miller is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Counseling and School Psychology Department at San Diego State University. Dr. Miller teaches numerous clinical courses such as diagnosis and ethics, and supervises masters-level counselors-in-training. Her clinical specialties include Multicultural and LGBTQ Psychology, and Eating Disorders. Dr. Miller’s research addresses ways to improve self-care among students, clinicians and the general public as well as making visible the ways race, gender and sexual orientation are frequently conflated in research and everyday life. Her current research projects are examining student motivations for practicing self-care during graduate training and an investigation of research trends in the study of sexual orientation perception a.k.a “Gaydar.”
