Robyn Igelman, PHD
Robyn Igelman, Ph.D. is the regional services and C3 manager for the First 5 Healthy Development Services program in the North Coastal region at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the 0-5 program ensuring children with mild to moderate developmental and behavioral concerns receive appropriate screening, assessment and treatment prior to age 6 or starting Kindergarten. Prior to this, she managed the Chadwick Center’s Trauma Counseling Treatment Outcome Program ensuring clinicians received prompt, useable assessment feedback and implemented evidence-based or evidence-supported practices in their clinical work with traumatized children and families. Dr. Igelman is an affiliate of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and is nationally recognized for her work in the field of child trauma. She is currently adjunct faculty at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University and previously served as faculty on the Western Trauma-Focused CBT Learning Collaborative. She has presented nationally on the topic of child abuse assessment and treatment. She has published peer-reviewed articles in the field of child welfare and child maltreatment and co-edited a book on children exposed to interparental violence. She currently lives in Laguna Niguel, CA with her husband, son (age 11) and daughter (age 8).
