ICWA Core 3.0 Stakeholders and Reviewers

This page is intended for stakeholder review the ICWA Core 3.0 curricula.

ICWA for Core 3.0 is a suite of curricula that includes:

  • 100 level e-learning
  • Full-day classroom training
  • Field activity
  • 200 level e-learning
  • ICWA references are also included in many other parts of the Core 3.0

This new Core 3.0 ICWA and Working with Native American Tribes was designed with the intention to ensure participants learned about bias and historical context in addition to the law.

The curricula builds on experience of the Tribal STAR program which has provided training to state and county social workers for over 10 years. These training were designed to increase collaboration between tribes, American Indian communities, county child welfare, and courts to improve outcomes for Indian children and families.

ICWA Introduction

This ICWA Introduction eLearning is meant to be completed before the full-day classroom training. It takes approximately 60-90 minutes to complete.
