Intended Audience: New and current child welfare personnel who are seeking information to enhance their abilities to work effectively with representatives from varied disciplines

Intended Objectives:

• To discuss the importance of developing a multidisciplinary child abuse team that includes representatives of various disciplines
• To highlight the ramifications of the term “team”
• To identify the knowledge, skills and experience needed for creating an effective multidisciplinary child abuse team

• An overview of the history of child abuse teams
• Team formation
• Multidisciplinary team challenges
• Team conflict/resistance
• Team culture
