Intended Audience: This class for lineworkers, supervisors and managers presents yearly updates on child welfare laws, statutes and court case decisions that impact child welfare practice

Intended Objectives:

  • Identify changes in the Law due to the appellate process that effect child welfare Dependency Court cases
  • Identify changes in statute and rules of court that effect child welfare Dependency Court cases

Topics Include:

  • Review of court decisions that impact dependency court cases from detention through case dismissal
  • Review of statute changes and rules of court changes that impact dependency court cases from detention through case dismissal

3.19 Student understands state and federal policy issues and child welfare legal requirements and demonstrates the capacity to fulfill these requirements in practice.
