Trainer of the Quarter, Takisha Corbett

For more than 20 years Dr. Takisha Corbett has worked and volunteered with national child welfare organizations across the country. Prior to earning her PhD in Clinical Psychology, she worked for several years in child welfare organizations throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties. While providing care to children and their families with open cases social services or probation, Dr. Corbett has worked in a variety of capacities including direct care staff to most recently overseeing the California operations for a national child welfare organization. She has a great deal of experience with staff development and understand the importance of proper staff training, clear program structure and expectations, and adherence to program standards to strengthen team work and improve outcomes for children and their families. 

Dr. Corbett is a licensed clinical psychologist and brings extensive senior leadership and business experience, and understands the importance of organizational development as foundational to ensuring overall organization success. She excels at developing systemic practices that seamlessly integrate data collection, daily processes, and analyses of outcomes. Through the use of real-time data, she has guided individuals and organization to make strategic decisions to accomplish mission-centered goals. Dr. Corbett received a B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton and an M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller School of Psychology. Recently, Dr. Corbett has been training for our San Diego Probation training.
