Dr. Jan E. Estrellado, PhD

Jan E. Estrellado, PhD is a licensed psychologist whose research focuses on the intersections of race, ethnicity, and trauma in therapy settings. She is specifically interested in examining clinicians’ competencies treating people of color who are also trauma survivors. She is the Associate Director of Clinical Training for Psychology at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital. Jan’s clinical work focuses on issues related to sexual orientation, gender identity, race and ethnicity, as well as with anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma recovery. Jan has taught classes on multicultural counseling, trauma, and stress management, and she also maintains a small private practice.
