Aisha Pope, LCSW
Aisha Pope is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Positive Discipline Trainer (CPDT) who has been working in behavioral health in the San Diego area for 15 years. Aisha has provided direct therapeutic services in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, residential, community based, home based, and Skype. She also works as a clinical supervisor to therapy interns providing individual, group, and family counseling in adult and child focused facilities. She has taught parent training courses to foster parents entering into specialized foster care with severely at risk youth, and teaches general Positive Discipline Parenting Classes, as well as Positive Discipline classes that focus on parenting traumatized youth, effective co-parenting through divorce, and workshops to certify others to facilitate Positive Discipline Parenting Classes. Aisha has training and experience in the areas of child welfare, child abuse prevention and intervention, domestic violence prevention and intervention, divorce with dignity, autism, parenting children with special needs, solution focused therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Gottman Couples Counseling, foster care and adoptions, Child Custody Evaluations, and couples therapy for couples struggling with infertility. She has facilitated training courses for professionals on topics including compassion fatigue, cultural diversity, crisis prevention and intervention, classroom management, and dual diagnosis issues.
