Behavioral Health Education and Training Academy (BHETA)
BHETA is a contract of San Diego County Mental Health. Initiated February 2007, this program is designed to provide San Diego County Behavioral Health System with training that will increase competency in culture, recovery, and resiliency as is required to outreach, assess, and treat severely mentally ill adults, children, and their families.
BHETA provides three distinct services.
- Training: behavioral health classes and conferences, trainer development, curriculum development, elearning and training coordination,
- Technical Assistance: sharing our knowledge of coordination, training design, assessment and curriculum developmen
- Workforce Assessment: staffing needs assessment, workforce training and development
Continuing Education for BHETA training
- BBS CEs for MFTs and LCSW: All classes register online.
- CAADAC/CADE for Chemical Dependency Counselors: All classes register online
- BRN CEs for registered nurses: Application at state will know within 4 weeks.
- MCEP CEs for application to be submitted October 30, 2007
- CME CEs for physicians, psychiatrists: approval pending for Torture and related Trauma and Veterans Conferences.
