Laurel Brown received her MSW from the State University of New York at Albany. She is currently a full time faculty member and liaison for the BASW IV-E program at Cal State University San Bernardino.

Prior to her current position she was the Site Director at the Riverside Public Child Welfare Training Academy site. She has been a trainer with the Public Child Welfare Training Academy for 10 years and has trained a variety of topics for the Line Worker and Supervisor Core classes.

With over 15 years experience in the field of child welfare, Ms. Brown has held a variety of positions in Child Protective Services. She has been a line worker, Supervisor, Staff Development Trainer, and a Regional Manager managing all programs from Emergency Response to Permanency Programs and Adoptions for Riverside's CPS.
