    Renee Sievert, RN, MA, MFT

Renee Sievert is an education and training consultant with 25 years experience as a registered nurse and 15 years experience as a Marriage & Family Therapist. She is certified in Domestic Violence Treatment, Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and is a Certified Alcoholism and Addiction Counselor (CAC).

She also holds advanced certifications in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing (RNC) and HIV and AIDS (ACRN). She is responsible for designing and presenting continuing education workshops for licensed clinicians nationwide on variety of health education topics including domestic violence, crisis counseling, psychopharmacology, and dual diagnosis (mental illness, substance abuse and HIV infection).

Ms. Sievert has been a recognized leader in the San Diego community offering education and counseling for HIV infected individuals and their families and was honored with the Brad Truax award for her HIV/AIDS community contributions in 1997.

She currently serves on San Diego's Domestic Violence Council and serves as President of the Board of Directors at Christie's Place, a support center for families living with HIV/AIDS. She is also co-author of "Feeling Terrific, Four Strategies for Overcoming Depression Using Mood Regulation Therapy" which is available online at Amazon.com and Borders.com.
