The
Academy for Professional Excellence provides a full spectrum of organizational
development consultation services through the Network
for Excellence in Human Services (NEHS) The Network for Excellence
in Human Services provides consultation, training, and technical assistance
to address challenges faced by health and human service agencies and community-based
social service agencies.
NEHS assists agencies and organizations in the following
areas:
Needs Assessments
Need help identifying barriers to optimum organizational performance?
We have experienced staff that can come in to observe and assess your
organizational needs, provide concrete recommendations, and provide the
training, meeting, facilitation, or consultation needed to get you and
your staff back on track.
Research
The Academy for Professional Excellence has the capacity to provide assistance
with your organization’s research needs. We have expertise in a
wide range of human service topics, particularly in the realm of public
child welfare.

Program Evaluation
In today’s world, organizations have to be able to demonstrate the
effectiveness of their services and interventions. The Academy for Professional
Excellence can help you design and implement evaluations of new or existing
programs that allow you to demonstrate achievement of outcomes and showcase

STAR INTERDISCIPLINARY TRAINING
STAR (Successful
Transitions for Adult Readiness) Training is a set of
two comprehensive, competency-based, interdisciplinary curricula designed
for those who work with adolescent foster youth.
- STAR for Service Providers curricula
focuses on topics such as: raising and protecting youth, the youth development
philosophy, interdisciplinary collaboration, cultural competence, developmental
tasks of adolescents, assessment & evaluation and much more.
- STAR for Managers and Supervisors
curricula focuses on the youth development philosophy and the
paradigm shift this entails for staff, community realities and collaboration,
community strategic planning and how to work with staff to make a positive
change for foster youth.

presentation materials and resources) can be
